Point One.
The performance arm of 404. Programming, testing, nutrition and race strategy for those chasing the 0.1%.
Programming
Four tiers, from a standardised programme built to your goal to fully personalised coaching with testing, nutrition and race strategy.
Performance Testing
A sixty-minute metabolic test. VO₂ max, thresholds, heart rate zones and fuelling, measured rather than estimated.
Built on two training fundamentals we believe in at 404.
Data
Heart rate zones, pace and power zones, thresholds, body composition, training history, load tolerance and training availability. The more of it we have, the more precisely we can write. Every session is written to a number, and every session gives one back.
The field gets faster every season. Improving isn't enough. You have to improve faster than the people you're racing, and that comes from specificity: the right session, at the right intensity, executed properly. Most coaches don't look this closely. We do.
Compounding
The best adaptations come from years of consistent work, not twelve weeks of it. A programme you can only sustain for a couple of months is a bad programme, however good it looks on paper.
Most people are bored with their programme by month three. It's isolating, and they can't see the numbers moving. We built Point One around both problems. Your key sessions are written into the 404 community timetable, so you run your session, at your numbers, in a room full of people doing the same. Progression you can see. People to see it with.

Sixty minutes. Your physiology, measured rather than estimated.
A metabolic test using breath-by-breath gas analysis. We measure VO₂ max, aerobic and anaerobic thresholds, heart rate training zones, energy expenditure and substrate utilisation: how much fat and carbohydrate you burn at every intensity.
What it changes. Your zones stop being a formula based on your age. Your race pace becomes a number you've seen yourself hold. Your fuelling comes from what your body actually uses, not a general guideline. Retest, and you know exactly what the training did.
The people running the test write the programmes. The data doesn't sit in a PDF. It goes straight into the plan.
Available on its own, or as part of Point One programming.
